German:

The role:
This position posting is for an interim High School German teacher for the 2020-2021 school year, beginning in January. In addition to demonstrated fluency in German, qualified applicants must have strong skills in the areas of standards-based planning, instructional best practices, and intentional use of assessments. Applicants must be eager to work cooperatively within department and school team settings. Applicants must be organized and possess outstanding communication skills in working collaboratively and effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators. With SMMHS being an International Baccalaureate school, knowledge of IB requirements is preferred, but training would also be available for teachers who are new to IB.
About us:
Signal Mountain Middle/High is a 6-12 school located on Signal Mountain, TN, just outside of Chattanooga. We offer an International Baccalaureate program to students while being the only school in our district to offer the prestigious IB Middle Years Program (MYP) to students in grades 6 through 10. Although known for our academic accomplishments, SMMHS also provides students with many other experiences including state-championship athletics programs, award-winning performing and visual arts programs, and opportunities for students to learn and grow through a variety of extracurricular activities.

5. Harpeth Hall, a college preparatory school for girls in grades 5-12 in Nashville, TN, seeks a dynamic, creative, Spanish teacher who possesses an enthusiasm for working with high school students, a commitment to innovative pedagogy and collaboration with colleagues, and excellent writing and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Spanish instructor capable of teaching the language at all levels. Other important qualifications include the desire to work in a tablet laptop environment, the willingness to implement technology to facilitate teaching and learning and an interest in the development of interdisciplinary curricula in the target language. The successful candidate will demonstrate cultural competence in multicultural classrooms and sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
