WHAT IS TFLTA?
TFLTA is an
organization of teachers, administrators, and others involved in foreign
language teaching and promotion of cultural understanding.
The basic goal of the Tennessee Foreign
Language Teaching Association is to improve and foster the teaching of foreign
languages, literatures, and cultures through service to the teachers of

TFLTA Activities
TFLTA publishes a newsletter sent to
all current TFLTA members.
TFLTA organizes and conducts a statewide conference
each year that includes workshops, banquets, and many exhibits of equipment and
materials of interest to language teachers from elementary through university
level.
TFLTA's Dale Sievers Fund for the Future
provides several awards for new teachers and language education students to
attend the annual fall conference.
TFLTA recognizes outstanding
TFLTA sponsors an annual Poster Contest for elementary and secondary Foreign Language students.
