Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association
The TFLTA is an organization for all foreign language educators in the state of Tennessee. Our aim is to promote and to advocate for foreign language education in the state, and to provide assistance and resources to those teaching foreign languages at all levels.
TFLTA publishes the TFLTA Journal, as well as a regular newsletter.
TFLTA organizes and conducts a statewide conference each year that includes workshops, meals, and exhibits of of interest to language teachers from elementary through university level.
TFLTA's Dale Sievers Fund for the Future provides several awards for new teachers and language education students to attend the annual fall conference.
TFLTA recognizes outstanding Tennessee foreign language educators each year with the Joyce Ward Teacher of the Year Award and the Jacqueline Elliott Award.
